Doctor Rich is one of the nation’s top robotic surgical educators. He established a Robotic Epicenter training facility in El Paso, Texas. Surgeons from around the world travel to observe his team’s surgical excellence program. Every year hundreds of physicians, and residents attend his speaking and training events and conferences. Doctor Rich has performed Live Telesurgery viewed by thousands of participants during the 2014 AAGL Hysterectomy Summit. He developed products and invented devices used in the urogynecologic surgery marketplace. He has served as chairman and board member for AAGL committees. AAGL is the world’s largest gynecology organization. During his tenure, he helped produce national policy guidelines for robotic surgery. He has also sat on two of our local hospital governing boards. Doctor Rich is very active on social media health education platforms, and enjoys traveling with his wife Nanda and their four children.
Doctor Rich is Urogynecology director for El Paso’s community OBGYN residency program and clinical assistant professor at Texas Tech University and Burrell Collage of Medicine. He is one of the top three benign GYN surgeons in America having performed over 2700 robotic surgeries. He is the world’s leading expert on robotic ureter visualization and is the principal investigator for the first human trials of IS-001 fluorescence dye. His patients travel from over thirty-eight states and many foreign countries for consultation and surgery. Doctor Rich is a reviewer for the Journal of minimally invasive gynecology and the Journal of Urology. He has also published on robotics in multiple peer-reviewed journals. His accolades include being a twelve time ‘Patient’s Choice’ award winner and being chosen by his peers as a ‘Texas Superdoctor’ for seven consecutive years.
